Mark Borzomato

Investment Director

Mark is an Investment Director at fund:tmt and co-owner of Spark Impact. Prior to this, Mark spent the majority of the past decade at Merseyside Special Investment Fund where he was responsible for the firm’s equity investments of up to £3m. An experienced corporate financier and investor, he has also held roles in global industry and both global and regional private equity after qualifying with Ernst & Young in 1997.

For his sins, Mark is a Middlesbrough FC supporter – however in recent years has enjoyed more success coaching his son’s junior football team. He is also a keen (social) golfer and enjoys live music and comedy gigs!

Jerry Mobbs

Portfolio Director

Jerry has over 25 years’ experience of investing in, managing and exiting investments in SME businesses across the UK. Most recently he worked with Finance Wales having spent over ten years with Merseyside Special Investment Fund. Prior to this, he spent five years with regional venture capital fund Yorkshire VC. After 10 years in COO and operational roles, Jerry started his investing career with international mid-market Private Equity firm 3i plc, and holds an MBA from the London Business School.

Jerry enjoys most sports and still plays a couple of gentle games of cricket every year, cycles regularly and occasionally throws himself down an ice chute on a 90lb metal toboggan as a member of the Cresta Run. Otherwise he enjoys watching his teenage son run faster, throw further and hit harder than himself!
